Review: North Face Ventrix Hoodie

Each year, companies come out with their new line of apparel. And each year I think the same thing. How could this lineup be any different than last years’, or the year before that? And how could they justify the price tag they put on it. Especially when it’s not uncommon for pullovers to run a price tag over $100, shells to be in the $200-$400 range, and beefy down jackets to be anywhere from $200-$800+. It’s absurd!

Epic Manta Ray Experience|Night Snorkel in Hawaii

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to see a single Manta Ray swimming in the ocean, it is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Mantas, stunningly enough, can reach a wingspan of up to 23 feet. Even with their massive size, they are as graceful as a flock of Starlings. And during a trip to Hawaii this past May, I got to witness this first hand. And I can tell you, there is nothing else like it. My girlfriend Court and I spent 10 days road tripping around the Big Island of Hawaii. We got off the plane, grabbed …

Screw New Years Resolutions.. Make Goals for 2019

Reposting this article for 2019 since it will always be relevant. And I’ve updated it with my goals for the year. Forget about them! Resolutions are absolutely pointless. We all (myself included) make these unobtainable requests of ourselves to become the perfect version of ourselves… overnight. That is simply not how it should work, yet we do this every single year and are left disappointed by the end of February. Of course, the time of year never helps since most of us wish to be healthier and more active, in the coldest and shortest days of the year.

Purblind Pillar | Red Rocks Canyon | Multi-pitch Climb

900 feet above the ground from where I stepped off the deck and onto the first holds of the route. That’s when it finally hit me. The wave of accomplishment, stoke, and relief. We’d spent nearly the entire day on this wall, 7 hours to be exact, and our ascent was finally over. Even though it’s only rated a 5.8, the 6 pitches of the climb were one adventure after next. And for my first time on the Red Rocks of Vegas, it was one helluva trip.

Guide: 1 Day in Bryce Canyon National Park

Whether you’re on a road trip to see the Big 5 National Parks in southern Utah, or you only have one day to see the park; Bryce Canyon can be done in a day. And as much as I advocate for spending more time in a place to really appreciate it, I understand that we may not have that luxury. So if given the opportunity, go spend the day here and you’ll witness one of the most beautiful places on earth, all within a short walk from your car. The entrance to the park is about 4hrs from both, Salt …

Posting New Content vs Accountability | Vlog S2|E2

Like most of you, I watch a lot of YouTube videos and endlessly scroll through Instagram. Watching the daily vlogs Casey Neistat, Peter McKinnon, Ryan VanDuzer, SingleTrackSampler, and BKXC to name just a few. Their stories and content are awesome. Every day, or nearly every other day, posting new videos. Some about nothing, others pretty epic.

But one thing they have in common, is that they are always posting. So does posting this much hold you accountable? Accountable to a life adventure?

What do you think? Does social media keep you accountable?
