Normally, I would not recommend the San Rafael Swell in Utah for a biking getaway weekend in the desert. Instead, I’d point you to the surrounding areas like Moab, Fruita, Hurricane, or even Saint George. But with our dog, Gregor, recovering from a successful “ACL” surgery, we were forced to take things a bit slower, and that meant parking the van in one spot for the weekend. Since, we’d be doing a lot more hanging out than wandering the desert, we settled on one of the best campsites in Utah for the long Memorial Day Weekend. The south side of …

SCUBA Diving Turneffe Atoll off Caye Caulker in Belize | VIDEO
SCUBA Diving trips have two distinct phases of enjoyment. First, being the obvious time spent in the water, surrounded by blue ocean and vibrant coral reefs. The second part happens at home when you are digging through the photos and videos, reliving the adventure, but more importantly, getting to really see all the sea-life in the images you captured. Inevitably, you find so much more in those photos than the original reason you snapped the image in the first place! Plus, you can spend as much time staring without worrying about losing your group or running out of air. Which …

First Trip in The Van | Las Vegas and California Beaches | VIDEO
After spending the past 7 months building out the adventure van of our dreams, we finally hit the road for a shake-down trip. That trip took us from the southern deserts of Utah to Las Vegas strip for the F1 race. Followed by a journey west to the California coast to stop in Cambria and Morro Bay. We started the trip to head home by stopping in the wine country of Paso Robles and even got to drive through Death Valley. A great way to start a journey of VanLife if you ask me! For the full write-ups check out …
Full Van Tour & Build Video | Adventure Campervan Ford Transit 350 AWD
After dreaming about building an adventure-ready campervan for over 10 years, my wife and I finally build our dream rig in 2023. We chose the big Ford Transit 350 Extended AWD as the base for our build-out to live, cook, and work out of. So far, we’ve been on the road for over 2 months and loving every minute of living on the road and living out of our van! This build took us the better part of 5 months straight and was completely exhausting. No sponsors, no outside help, just my wife and I spending every night after our …
First Overnight Rafting Trip Through Ruby Horsethief Canyon on the Colorado River
The Ruby Horsethief section of the Colorado river runs from the desert town of Fruita, Colorado, putting in at the Loma Boat Ramp, travels 25 miles down river through the stunning desert canyons, into Utah, and eventually to the take out at the Westwater boat ramp. This was our first overnight trip on a river, requiring more planning, more gear, more beer, and honestly a bit more stress. Yet, it only a few miles on the river to realize this trip was going to be one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had in the desert. Logistics to Run …
VIDEO | Rafting & Fishing the Snake River in Jackson, WY
Over the 4th of July weekend, my wife Courtney and I, with our dog Gregor in tow, headed up to Jackson, Wyoming for the weekend to do a little rafting on the Snake River. We set out to run the 13 mile stretch of Class I/Flat Water river from the Wilson Boat Ramp down to the South Park Boat Ramp. The views were incredible as we floated down stream, leaving views of the Tetons in our wake. This was the second trip out on our raft BB, and we are slowly getting the hang of this rafting thing. Full MAUI Hawaii Trip | Video
After going to the Big Island of Hawaii a few years ago, we were itching to get back anyway we could. So for our family trip this year, we headed over to the Island of Maui. The goal of the trip was to see and do as much as possible, and since we live in a land-locked state, spend as much time in the ocean as we could. We stayed all over the island, moving around ever other day, from Lahaina to Kapalua, then from Kihei to Hana, and then eventually to Kahului. We snorkeled nearly every day, I went …
Washington State Road Trip | Video
Every year, Courtney, Gregor, and I load up the truck (or a rented Van) to take a weeklong road trip around a state out west. So far, we’ve done a road trip around Montana, Oregon, and Colorado. This year, to knock off the last western state that neither of us had been to, we headed up to Washington State! Admittedly, it was going to be a far haul and lots of driving to get there and back, but with a week off, we knew it would be worth it. And after the countless opportunities to paddle all types of water …
The Colorado Summer Road Trip | Video
This trip was something Courtney and I have been dreaming about since moving out to the West. Yet, it’s been something we’ve been putting off for years because it was almost too feasible. Unlike a vacation that requires plane tickets and months of planning, this trip was comparatively easy. Our plan was to drive around to a bunch of mountain and ski towns of Colorado during the summer months, camping just outside of each town. That way, there was no reservations, not deadlines, just get in the truck and go. For this reason, we’ve just put it off year after …
