“This place is incredible, why do we not come here every single weekend?” I remember asking Courtney just after passing Clegg Lake. Our friend Brett promptly reminded us that just two weeks prior, the bugs and mosquitos were so bad, they left bite marks through their pants and clothes. “Oh, yeah, that’s why we only get to spend a few months here every year. Nevertheless, the bugs were gone this weekend, and we had one of the best backpacking trips we’ve ever been on! With the long weekend ahead of us, we wanted to plan something new to do for …

Awe Inspiring Hike to Candy Cliffs | Campfire Stories
What if I told you there was another place, equally as stunning as those hikes in Utah’s National Parks, that you could have all to yourself. Well that place is called Yant Flat or Candy Cliffs. And these cliffs are just outside of St. George in Southwest Utah.

Moraine Lake| Banff National Park, Canada
The first alarm goes off at 4:30AM. Canada’s northern summer prevents the sun from every really setting, so it was still technically bright out when we rolled out of our tent. Court, Gregor, and I were all so exhausted, but we knew it’d be worth it. The one thing everyone, continuously told us we had to do while we were in Banff National Park was to catch sunrise at Moraine Lake. We got dressed as quickly as possible and all hopped into the truck and punched in Moraine Lake into the GPS. Turns out, the map of the park makes …
Hike Mount Olympus (Utah)
You know that one hike, that everyone “seems” to have done, but is still on your bucket list? Well, Mt. Olympus was that one for me. Mount Olympus, like many other mountain peaks, looms over the Salt Lake Valley below. It’s an intimidating mountain to look at when driving down I-215 South. And even though it’s only 9,030′ tall, it’s legendary status to those who live here. It is just one of those peaks, that no matter where you’re standing in Salt Lake, you can look up and see it towering above. And finally, on June 16th, Court, Gregor, and …
Little Wild Horse Slot Canyon
Little Wild Horse Canyon is an awesome slot canyon, and one I can’t recommend enough to anyone looking to hike their first slot canyon. Located just outside of Goblin Valley State Park in the South-Central region of Utah’s desert, it’s only a 4hr drive from Salt Lake City and 2hrs from Moab. The canyon itself is stunningly beautiful, with eroded sandstone walls that you could spend a lifetime exploring. The best part about this experience, is that it isn’t a technical route. That means, no ropes (or canyoneering experience) is required. Simply lace up those hiking boots and follow the …
Photo of the Week | Little White Horse Canyon
Every Friday I will be posting a Photo of the Week. Here I’ll be sharing the details on how I got the shot, where I was, and the backstory that went into it. I hope you find this enjoyable, and helpful in your own photography. Zachary Kenney Hi there, my name is Zachary Kenney and I’m an adventure filmmaker & photographer. Stop Comparing Everything You Do To Mt. Everest
With Mt. Everest being front and center in the news as of late due to the viral photo we all have seen, I figured there was no better time to post this article I wrote a little while back. Just because your body went up a cumulative 29,029 feet does NOT even come close to the same level achievement and accomplishment that comes with actually summiting Mount Everest. I have not summited the tallest mountain in the world, but I can say with high certainty that neither did you. It takes so much time and effort to accomplish this feat, …

Explore Yant Flat (Candy Cliffs Utah)
Southern Utah is known for its incredible sandstone rock formations. Take Zion and Arches for example, known around the world for their iconic viewpoints and hikes. But with that notoriety comes an endless stream of crowds and lines; not to mention park fees and permits. What if I told you there was another place, equally as stunning, that you could have all to yourself. And plus, you’re allowed to bring your dog with you! Well guess what, that place not only exists, but we just spent the weekend there and it was jaw dropping. The place I’m referring to is …
Guide: 1 Day in Bryce Canyon National Park
Whether you’re on a road trip to see the Big 5 National Parks in southern Utah, or you only have one day to see the park; Bryce Canyon can be done in a day. And as much as I advocate for spending more time in a place to really appreciate it, I understand that we may not have that luxury. So if given the opportunity, go spend the day here and you’ll witness one of the most beautiful places on earth, all within a short walk from your car. The entrance to the park is about 4hrs from both, Salt …
