Crater Lake National Park // The Bluest Lake I’ve Ever Seen!

For the very first time, in this short VanLife adventure of ours, we were able to work from a National Park! To make this day even more special, it’s easily one of the most beautiful vistas I’ve ever laid eyes on! Despite it being June 26th, the shear amount of snow is keeping most of the roads in the park closed, it still was a spectacular experience. But the view alone, of this blue hue found next to nowhere else in the world, is magnificent. Of course, I’m referring to Crater Lake National Park! Tucked away in the quiet part …

Visiting McCall, Idaho | Lakeside Paradise in the Mountains

I’ll be honest, I never thought a place like this could exist in the state of Idaho. You know, Idaho, the state famous for potatoes, right? Well, over the past few years, we’ve been up to a few mountain towns in Idaho like Salmon, Ketchum, Boise, Pocatello, and Driggs, but nothing has come even close to McCall. McCall is a town that sits right on the edge of the pristine Payette Lake, surrounded by rocky mountains, dense pine forest, and of course, at the base of of Brundage Mountain ski resort. Between the boating opportunities, endless mountain sports, breweries, fly …

Moraine Lake| Banff National Park, Canada

The first alarm goes off at 4:30AM. Canada’s northern summer prevents the sun from every really setting, so it was still technically bright out when we rolled out of our tent. Court, Gregor, and I were all so exhausted, but we knew it’d be worth it. The one thing everyone, continuously told us we had to do while we were in Banff National Park was to catch sunrise at Moraine Lake. We got dressed as quickly as possible and all hopped into the truck and punched in Moraine Lake into the GPS. Turns out, the map of the park makes …

South Lake Tahoe Trip

The first time you see the lake, as you crest the mountain pass from Reno, is a sight you’ll never forget. Driving through the dense evergreen forest, the deep blue of the lake contrasts with the green surrounding the rim. And to add to its beauty, the white peaked mountains on the western edge of the  lake climb high into the sky. And that’s only the beginning of the trip. A trip we just got back from this past weekend. We met up with some friends from back east who rented a house to ski for the week. Since it …

Go Hike Lake Blanche

As bad as it sounds, I try to stay away from hikes and outdoors activities that get too much praise and hype. It might just be the hipster in me, but when a  hiking trail get’s nearly 1,800 5-star reviews on AllTrails.com, it’s hard to believe it’s going to be a challenging one. The only time that many people review a trail, or anything for that matter, it’s usually something super easy and perfect for the out-of-shape, family-friendly hikers. For those hikes, which commonly get described as a 1-mile trail, entirely flat, and finishes at a pretty waterfall. However, this …
